god bless the USA my keep kristy lee cook in American Idol

Kristy Lee Cook's rendition of “God Bless the USA” may spare her from getting voted out this week; “that was the most clever song choice I’ve ever heard.” Simon said.

So Kristy Lee may be safe...well, that was a hard one to predict. She's been in the bottom three vote getters for weeks and she's got the worst odds to win American Idol, 75 to 1. Is there more to say about her?

Yes, there is. She was smart in choosing “God Bless the USA” and she got all the judges to say it was one of her best performances. I think this should be more than enough to keep her in for at least another week.

Double start aside Brooke White did well with her rendition of “Every Breath You Take.” although the second part of the song, when the band kicked in, was definitely not as good as the first. She shouldn't have any problem this week.

David Archuleta....what to say about him...well, I believe he won't make it to the Top 3 nor he'll win American Idol. Yes, everybody says he's the frontrunner but let’s be reasonable: he is simply not sellable. He could win but end up in a commercial disaster like Jordin Sparks. He’s good but too young and lacks personality.

I think winning the Idol could end up being more negative than positive for Archuleta....enjoy it while it lasts David, you won't see the end of it.

The "Aussie" was at his best last night. Michael Johns rendition of “We Will Rock You” was simply awesome, last night's best performance in our humble opinion. He's absolutely in, no worries.

Syesha Mercado was easily second best after Johns with her rendition of “If I was Your Woman”, a song simply perfect for her.

Chikezie's “If Only for One Night”...what to say? Well, I guess Simon said it all. "Sang it well, performance cheesy, nothing original.” Boring, I'd add. I see him in the bottom three vote getters.

Jason Castro's rendition of "Fragile" was totally anonymous. "It's time you take this seriously." Simon told him. He's a candidate for the bottom 3, I may add.

David Cook rendition of “Billy Jean” was simply awesome. Believe me or not I went and bet $50 on his odds to win after his performance. At 3 to 1 he is still a very good buy.

Ramiele Malubay...well, I see her as the least vote getter this week. True she's been sick but her rendition of “Alone” was a total disaster. Pity for being sick is the only hope she has to hang on for another week, but I doubt it.

Carly Smithson is my favourite. Her rendition of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” was simply powerful, a very strong performance although Simon may be right; Carly can do better. She deserves to stay in the race, although she could end up among the bottom 3 vote getters once again.
