Pilots: Rosie Perez Will Fight the Power on CBS


Oscar nominee Rosie Perez is joining Oscar winner Geena Davis in the CBS drama pilot "Exit 19," leading the latest round of network casting buzz.

In addition to Perez, Ramon Rodriguez, Amy Farrington, Lance Barber, Bill English and David Rogers have landed pilot gigs. Mazel tov to all of them.

"Exit 19" stars Davis as a Manhattan homicide detective and single mother and features Matthew Lillard ("Scream") as her live-in brother.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Perez ("Fearless," "White Men Can't Jump") will play the Brooklyn-born partner of Davis' character. Rodriguez ("The Wire") will play another cop on the force, while Farrington ("Back to You") will play Davis' neighbor.

Also on CBS, Barber ("The Comeback") will play the best friend of Fred Savage's love-seeking title character in the comedy pilot "Single White Millionaire."

Over at FOX, Bill English has joined "Outnumbered." The comedy focuses on a couple raising three intelligent children. Assuming ABC doesn't pick-up "Cavemen," English will play the father's younger brother.

And in other casting news, Rogers will appear in The CW's real-time medical drama "Austin Golden Hour" playing a chief resident
