Vote for the next Biggest Loser

what they were in for. Oh sure, I bet they expected to get a serious response from fans. A reality-style TV show, The Biggest Loser has a pretty big following. But once they got an Alabama guy like Roger Schultz, who wants to bet the vote totals went through the roof?



Um, I think this is the "Before" picture.
If there is one thing Alabama people do, it's vote. Online, phone, email, snail mail, etc.

Any Pontiac Game Changing Performance, any (now defunct) Gridiron Bash scholarship contest, or any Birmingham News sports legends bracket, you guys show up in droves.

That brings me to today's topic, about which I'm getting besieged by emails. Schultz is in the Final Four of the Biggest Loser. Disclaimer: I don't watch the show. You can only watch so many reality shows, and I'm having enough trouble keeping up with Brooke White and David Archuleta on American Idol.

Anyway, everyone who emails me thinks you should vote for Roger, who was fired from his day job for the show. Listen to Aimee, an emailer who really wants Roger to win:

"He started at 363 lbs and is now 219 lbs and he looks amazing!" she wrote. "If he makes it to the finals (next Tuesday night), he can win $250,000. We need all Crimson Tide fans to rally around him and vote! Voting runs from 10 pm ET tonight (Tues) until 10 pm Thurs night, so time is of the essence."
